Privacy notice

Who we are. Tail Lift Media is the trading name of Ali Al Dalaty, a sole trader, at Unit 9, Edwardson Road, Durham DH7 8RL. We decide how your details are used, so we're the "controller". Contact: hello@tailliftmedia.com, 07727 969345, or post to the address above.
A connection you should know about. The person who runs Tail Lift Media also owns and runs a removal firm in the North East. That company is separate from Tail Lift Media. We don't give your details to that firm, and it doesn't use them.
What this notice covers. Our website form, a connect link if we send you one, and anything you send us or we send you before you become a client. If you become a client, our contract covers the rest.
Connect links. If we send you a link to share your Meta Page, Instagram, ad account or pixel, you sign in with Facebook. We use that sign-in only to ask Meta to add Tail Lift Media as a partner on the accounts you tick, then we delete it. We don't see your Facebook password, we don't keep the sign-in, and we don't create ads from that page. How to ask for deletion.
What we collect from the form. Your name, firm name, phone number, email address, the area you cover, how many vans you run and, if you give it, your website. Also anything you tell us in replies or on a call.
What we use it for, and why we're allowed to.
- To reply to you. This is our legitimate interest in answering businesses that contact us (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). If you're a sole trader or partner, it's also a step you've asked for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- To do your free look. We go through your public ads, your listing and your website, and send you a plain list. Same reasons.
- To keep a note of what we told you, for 12 months, in case you ask later. Our legitimate interest in keeping accurate records.
We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing from this form. If we'd like to, we'll ask first.
Do you have to give it? We need your name, firm, a phone number, an email address, your area and your van numbers to reply properly. Your website is optional.
Who sees it. The people at Tail Lift Media who deal with your enquiry, and the companies that run our systems for us, on our instructions: Cloudflare (our website host), Zoho Mail (our email) and Resend (which delivers the form to our inbox). We don't sell your details. We don't pass them to other removal firms. We'd share them only if the law required it, or with our professional advisers in confidence.
Where it's held. Zoho keeps our email in its EU data centres. Cloudflare and Resend may handle your details in other countries, including the US, under the safeguards in their data terms.
How long we keep it. If you don't become a client, we delete your details 12 months after our last contact. If you become a client, we keep contract and accounting records for 6 years. If you ask us not to contact you, we keep just enough to make sure we don't.
Your rights. You can ask for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, ask us to limit how we use them, object to how we use them, and ask for them in a form you can take elsewhere. It's free, and we'll answer within one month. You can tell us to stop any marketing at any time, and we will.
Complaints. Tell us first if you can, at hello@tailliftmedia.com. We'll acknowledge it within 30 days and deal with it without undue delay. You can also complain to the Information Commission (still known as the ICO): ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and tracking. The public pages set no cookies and run no ad tags or analytics. Fonts are hosted here. The connect page, where a client shares Meta accounts with us, sets a short-lived encrypted cookie (about 15 minutes) to finish that share. We delete it when the share finishes or when it expires, and we don't use it to track you around the web. Our host, Cloudflare, handles short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, for security.
Automated decisions. We don't make decisions about you by automated means alone.
If we contacted you first. We got your firm's contact details from public sources such as your website, your Google listing or Companies House. We hold your name and business contact details because of our legitimate interest in telling removal firms about our service. Tell us to stop and we will, for good, and keep your details only on our do-not-contact list. All the rights above apply.
If you sent an enquiry to a removal firm we advertise for. That firm decides how your details are used, and its own privacy notice applies. We act for it and only on its instructions. Ask the firm first; if you can't reach it, ask us.
Changes. We'll date any change here.
